CARDIOLOGY OUTPATIENT CLINIC

In the Cardiology Outpatient Clinic, we treat patients who have been referred to us by their general practitioners or cardiologists for the further clarification and assessment of various cardiovascular diseases. These include coronary heart disease, cardiac insufficiency, acquired heart valve defects, cardiac sources of emboli (e.g. in the case of a patent foramen ovale) and cardiovascular shunts. In particular, we care for increasing numbers of patients who suffer from complex forms of these diseases. Following an initial examination at our outpatient clinic, we can decide whether further non-invasive and/or invasive diagnostics are necessary in addition to basic cardiovascular diagnostic examinations (ECG, stress test and echocardiography), e.g. regional ischemia detection by means of stress echocardiography / myocardial scintigraphy / magnetic resonance tomography or coronary angiography, if necessary with coronary intervention. In addition, we also see patients for follow-up examinations after cardiac surgery or following complex interventions in our cardiac catheter laboratory.
